Houjicha is a special Japanese green tea made by roasting other Japanese green teas. The roasting process removes all bitterness from the green tea and also lowers its catechin and caffeine content. Nateavia Gold roast Houjicha is made from a selection of YABUKITA leaves and some stems that are lightly roasted in order to achieve a houjicha of exceptionally fine quality with outstanding aroma and the smoothest sweet-roast. Thanks to its low caffeine content, Houjicha can be enjoyed at any time of the day. That’s why Japanese children and the elderly favor houjicha.
